Essential Details

Why Choose Kundalini Yoga

Why should you do Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training

If you are someone who is interested in joining a spiritual yoga program, then the 200 Hours Kundalini yoga teacher training in Rishikesh is for you. Kundalini Yoga was kept under wraps by the royals for many centuries, but it was secretly propagated to the commons. And that is how, it came to be known as the yoga form that can free you from old habits and identify latent qualities. Many of you may feel trapped at times, no matter how much you try. It is mainly attributed to blocked chakras.

Kundalini Yoga is a science-based yogic practice, which makes use of sounds, mantras, movement, breath, and meditation. You will be able to leave all the clutter behind and come out of your shell, after you identify the factors that hold you back. You can avoid all sorts of distractions, and focus on your inward journey, when you know the correct way to utilize the energy. Kundalini refers to ‘coiled’. In Kundalini Yoga, it is believed that there is a coiled snake at the root chakra or muladhara chakra which on awakening, rises up the ‘Sushumna nadi’, clearing all the blockages.  The Sushumna nadi is an important nadi amongst the 72,000 nadis in the astral body and is aligned along the spine. After leaving the last chakra, which is the Crown chakra, the energy unites with the cosmic energy.

Predominantly considered as female, the energy moves up and unites with the male energy of the universe. Those seeking enlightenment, must continue to focus on this journey by forgetting and changing mundane habits. You can join the 200 hrs Kundalini yoga teacher training in India, to change your behavioural patterns, clear blockages in your life, and identify your true purpose. At Kailasa Yoga School, you will be learning Kundalini Yoga under experienced teachers. Apart from positively affecting your mind, Kundalini Yoga also gives you flexibility and strength.

Know the 7 Chakras

Seven Chakras in Kundalini Yoga

Chakras as mentioned above are vortexes of energy, which are aligned along the Sushumna nadi. These energy centres are associated with different emotional, mental, and physical attributes. There are seven chakras in Kundalini Yoga.

Root Chakra or Muladhara

This is the very first chakra, located below the last vertebrae in the spine. It helps you to remain grounded and secure. If this chakra is blocked, then you will suffer from self-centredness, insecurity, and frustration. The chakra is red in colour.

Sacral Chakra or Svadhisthana

The next chakra is located in the lower abdomen and represents the reproductive organs, focusing on creativity, pleasure seeking, and indulgence. If this chakra is out of balance, you may indulge in too much pleasure or avoid it altogether. It can lead to fear and anxiety. The chakra colour is orange.

Solar Plexus or Manipura

It is located above the sacral chakra in between the sternal plate and the navel.  It is associated with will power, self-motivation, and the ability to make decisions. When this chakra is blocked, you may always feel out of balance, lack initiative, and may not be able to chase goals. The chakra is yellow coloured.

Heart Chakra or Anahata

It is related to love and compassion and when open, it can lead to feelings of unity and openness. You will also accept others in a non-judgmental way and will always feel bliss. However, if your chakra is blocked, you will be afraid to mingle with others, lack compassion, and may also have bad relations. The colour of this energy centre is green.

Throat Chakra or Vishuddha Chakra

This is the fourth chakra, and is associated with communication and verbal pursuits. When it is unblocked, you will be communicative and speak well. If the energy centre is blocked, it can lead to bitterness and fear of communication. Located in the throat, the colour of the chakra is blue.

Third Eye or Ajna

This chakra revolves around visualization, manifestation and dreams. When it is balanced, you will have strong intuition, wisdom, and predictive power. On the other hand, its blockage may lead to detachment, confusion, and over-thinking. This chakra is located in the Third eye. The colour is Indigo.

Crown Chakra or Sahasrara

This is the final chakra, which is located at the top of the head. It represents infinite consciousness and openness. If it is blocked, you will have closed thinking and will remain depressed. The colour of this chakra is violet.

I had a great experience during my 200h Ttc course in kailasa yoga. We had a great group from people from all over the world and made some good friends. I learned so many things, my strength, flexibility and technique improved a lot throughout the daily practice and now i feel more confident and ready to teach! What makes this school standing out is the knowledgeable and professional teachers with many years of experience.
